Love and Memory know no bounds: A good friend lost his mom. He had his dad write her name in Chinese. We made this sticker to honor her and her heritage.

“Why the J with wings?”

Because Jacob is greatly missed.

We lost our boy on October 23rd, 2000. I kept doodling a tattoo I’d been thinking about getting, a simple J with wings. When I started seeing all those minivans and SUVs with stick figure families on them, I began to feel as though I had no way of representing my family, not completely anyway. I’ve seen the stick figure characters with wings, but I just felt it was not the way I wanted to represent my son. So I decided to find out how I could make that tattoo into a graphic, and rather than farm the work out, I wanted it to be my journey, my work, my design, and my investment of effort and heart. The J with wings you see was the result. The rest just flowed after that.

As of today, it’s been 

since I registered the domain name, and I have sold just two letters with wings. I have also heard some moving stories, and given them away.
